Trusting in riches

Yesterday I was talking with my beloved when he expressed how worried he was about our money. He told me he was struggling with the thought of not having enough and how he would feel secure if we were wealthy. I told him I didn't care because I know God will always provide for my needs. However he said I didn't understand because I've never suffered poverty. Our discussion ended and I went to sleep without thinking about it anymore, but God brought the matter again today in His word. He never contradicts himself nor change his mind. Just as Jesus told us to seek his kingdom first and he will take care of the rest, Solomon, the wisest man in the history of human race, affirmed that the righteous would prosper but whoever trust in his wealth will fall. We should never trust in anything but God. He is the one who know us better and will give us exactly what we need. Moreover when he blesses us, our riches won't cause problems to ourselves, they will be to glorify God!
Proverbs 11:28 - Whoever trust in his riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.
Proverbs 10:22 - The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.
